Washington Pediatric Therapy is based in Washington DC. We provide individual therapy in the natural environment to maximize a child’s learning and ability to carry over skills being addressed. That means we come to you!
Therapy typically takes place in the family home. This allows our therapists to provide carry over activities to be completed between the sessions using the resources surrounding your child every day. Therapy provided in the home also helps to reduce some of the stress related to therapy as the child is familiar with the environment and there is no need for the family to pack up and get ready to go to an appointment.

What to Expect
Call our office to discuss your concerns with a member of our team. If necessary, we will ask you to obtain a doctor’s prescription for an occupational therapy evaluation and treatment. We recommend that you call your insurance company to determine what services are covered through your plan.
An evaluation will be scheduled using a variety of standardized and nonstandardized tests to determine areas of strength and need. Based on the results and family priorities, a therapy plan will be created. Therapy is typically recommended once a week.
Our therapists place a strong emphasis on a collaborative approach. You are your child’s most important teacher and we will encourage you to actively participate in each session as your participation is essential in your child’s progress.
